Therapy for Moms
In-person in Birmingham, Alabama and available virtually across the states of Alabama and Tennessee
You are allowed to grow alongside your family.
Motherhood changes everything, including how you see yourself. Alongside love and purpose, many women experience loss, pressure, or a quiet sense that they’ve disappeared into the roles they carry. These feelings are more common than we’re taught to expect—and you don’t have to navigate them alone. Therapy offers a space to slow down, untangle what you’re carrying, and reconnect with who you are becoming, not just what is being asked of you.
Therapy may be helpful for you if you…
carry the mental load of everything — schedules, needs, emotions — and rarely get space to process your own.
feel pressure to “do it all well,” even when you’re exhausted or overwhelmed.
want to be present for your family without feeling like you’ve disappeared in the process.
long for moments of calm, clarity, or steadiness, but aren’t sure how to create them
How THERAPY WORKS
My work with mothers is centered on creating a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of the changes you’re experiencing. Together, we explore the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that often accompany motherhood, without rushing to “fix” them.
I draw from evidence-based approaches, and always tailor our sessions to your unique needs and season of life. Therapy is collaborative and paced intentionally, allowing room for reflection, practical support, and meaningful change. In our work, we may focus on reducing overwhelm, strengthening your sense of self, navigating relationships, and building sustainable ways to care for both your family and yourself. The goal is not perfection, but helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected as you grow alongside your family.
The ultimate goal is to gradually reduce the frequency of sessions from weekly to bi-weekly, and eventually to monthly, as progress is made.
My goals as your therapist are to help you:
Reclaim a sense of self alongside motherhood
Reduce anxiety, pressure, and the mental load you carry
Feel more connected to yourself, but also more connected in your relationships
Process identity shifts
Develop compassionate and sustainable ways to care for yourself and your family
Motherhood is not meant to be carried alone
I provide therapy for women in vestavia, birmingham, and throughout alabama and tennessee who are navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and life transitions.
