Therapy for Mothers
You can love your family deeply and still feel like you’ve lost yourself a little
Therapy for moms navigating overwhelm, identity shifts, anxiety, and the mental load of motherhood.
You are allowed to grow alongside your family.
Motherhood changes so much—including how you see yourself. Alongside the love and purpose, you may also feel overwhelmed, disconnected, resentful, anxious, or unsure of who you are outside of everything everyone needs from you.
Therapy gives you a place to slow down and make room for you—not just as a mother, but as a whole person. Together, we can untangle what you're carrying, reconnect with what matters to you, and help you feel more grounded in the life you are building.
Therapy may be helpful for you if you…
carry the mental load of everything — schedules, needs, emotions — and rarely get space to process your own.
feel pressure to “do it all well,” even when you’re exhausted or overwhelmed.
want to be present for your family without feeling like you’ve disappeared in the process.
long for moments of calm, clarity, or steadiness, but aren’t sure how to create them
How THERAPY WORKS
My work with mothers is centered on creating a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of the changes you’re experiencing. Together, we explore the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that often accompany motherhood—without rushing to “fix” them.
I draw from evidence-based approaches, but our work is always tailored to you. We may focus on reducing overwhelm, strengthening your sense of self, navigating relationships, and building sustainable ways to care for both your family and yourself.
Therapy is collaborative and paced intentionally. My goal isn’t perfection—it’s helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected as you grow alongside your family.
Reduce anxiety, pressure, and the mental load you carry
Reclaim a sense of self alongside motherhood
Feel more connected to yourself and your relationships
Navigate identity shifts with greater clarity
Develop compassionate, sustainable ways to care for yourself and your family
My goals as your therapist are to help you:
Motherhood is not meant to be carried alone
You don’t have to become less devoted to your family to feel more like yourself. The goal is to create a life where there is room for both—where you can care deeply for the people you love without continually disappearing from your own life.
You can feel more grounded in who you are, more confident in the choices you’re making, and more present for the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

Common Questions from Moms
-
That’s more common than you might think. Motherhood can be deeply meaningful while also changing your identity, relationships, priorities, and sense of self. Therapy can give you space to sort through those changes without assuming that something is wrong or that you need to love your family any less.
-
Most clients begin with weekly sessions so we have enough consistency to build momentum. As you begin to feel more grounded and confident, we can gradually space sessions out to every other week and eventually monthly. We’ll decide together what makes sense for you.
-
Sometimes. I may offer a reflection, exercise, or practical tool to help you apply what we’re working on in your everyday life. I don’t want therapy to feel like one more thing on your to-do list, though, so anything we use between sessions will be intentional and manageable.

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of the women I work with are functioning well on the outside but feel anxious, depleted, resentful, disconnected, or stretched too thin. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what you need, and make changes before things feel unmanageable.
